RIPL Makes Waves
Author: Ben Lockyer, Lead Articles Editor, JD Candidate 2018
Ranked as a top-25 IP law journal and as the top-ranked IP law journal in the Midwest, the John Marshall Review of Intellectual Property Law (RIPL) is ready for another exciting year. This year, RIPL is proud to announce some exciting new events and publications. For the first time since beginning publication, RIPL will publish an extra issue with articles focusing on how the Supreme Court’s eventful session has affected current IP issues.
The extra issue features an article co-written by RIPL Editor-in-Chief Kaylee Willis and Lead Articles Editor Ben Lockyer. The article presents a series of interviews with Judges Pallmeyer, Kennelly, and Durkin about patent litigation in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois. The article will be presented at a presentation on the Northern District of Illinois’ Patent Pilot Program.
In addition, RIPL is excited to work with the other law reviews in bringing the National Conference of Law Reviews to JMLS this upcoming spring semester. As a national law school event, the conference will be an excellent opportunity to bring attention to the hard work and scholarship of JMLS students.
